Monitoring of sub stores

Monitoring is the process of observing whether an activity or service is occurring as planned or not.  It implies systematic and purposeful observation, aiming to identify any diversion from the planned course of action. It also helps to identify the need for more formal evaluation of activities and find timely solutions to the problems.

Monitoring of sub-stores (drug stores at Tuberculosis Unit/Peripheral Health Institution level)  in National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) is carried out by the officer-in-charge at the District Tuberculosis Centre(DTC).

Supply to DDS/TU

The following supplies are sent to the District Drug Store (DDS)/ TB Units (TUs):

  1. Anti-TB drugs (first and second-line):

Drugs once received by the State Drug Store (SDS) are transported to the districts. The districts then transfer the drugs to the TUs which in turn supply them to the Peripheral Health Institutes (PHIs).

The following diagnostic materials will be supplied by the SDS to the DDS and TUs:
