    Content

    Nikshay is an Integrated ICT system for TB patient management and care in India. Nikshay was launched in 2012 and since then, various improvements have been made in the system.

    Nikshay provides-

    • A Unified interface for public and private sector health care providers
    • Different types of Logins such as State, District, TU, PHI, Staff logins, Private providers, Chemist, Labs and PPSA/JEET Logins
    • Integration of all adherence technologies such as 99DOTS and MERM
    • Unified DSTB and DRTB data entry forms
    • Mobile friendly website with mobile app

    Nikshay is accessible either via web browser(https://Nikshay.in ) or mobile App called ‘Nikshay’ that can be downloaded from Google Play Store(Android).

  • How to register on Nikshay as Treatment Supporter /Informant?

    Prerequisites to register as a Treatment Supporter

    • "Nikshay" Application from Google Play store
    • Stable internet connectivity for seamless experience
    • A working mobile number, when interacting with NTEP health facility staff for login creation in Nikshay
    • Bank details of treatment supporter, in order to be shared with NTEP Health Facility Staff.

     

    The Treatment supporter need to reach out to the nearest NTEP Health facility staff to get his / her logins credientials. (Feature for self registration will be made available soon in Nikshay)

     

    Post login creation, Login in Nikshay using the username as “Mobile Number” and password as shared by NTEP staff and will be able to access the patients that have been assigned to him / her.

     

    Nikshay, will allow a treatment supporter to

    • Enroll a new patient
    • View the list of the patients notified and mapped to him / her
    • Record adherence details for the mapped patients

    After login in Nikshay, using the login credential shared by NTEP Health Staff, Treatment Supporter will be able to access the following button:

    • New Enrolment: Allows to enrol new cases in Nikshay
    • Search Patient: Allows to search for patients that are mapped to him /her, using Patient Name, Nikshay ID and Old Nikshay ID
    • Add Patient Test: Allows to add tests for all the patients.
    • Diagnosis Pending: View the list of the patients that are pending for diagnosis
    • Not on Treatment: View the list of the patients that are diagnosed but pending to be initiated on treatment
    • On Treatment Patients: Gives the list of on treatment patients
    • Outcome assigned: Gives the list of the patients that have completed their treatment
    • Training Material; Access the training content available on Nikshay
    • Patient Summary: Gives a brief overview on the Presumptive cases registered, Diagnosed and patients that are initiated on treatment
    • Task List: Allows to view the list of pending activities pertaining to adherence, Treatment Outcome and Bank details missing for mapped patient
    • Latest Updates: New updates of features that are released on Nikshay
  • Nikshay Poshan Yojana

    Content

    Nikshay Poshan Yojana (NPY) is one of the four initiative-based support schemes which provides financial support to TB patients for their nutrition. A financial incentive of Rs. 500 per month will be provided to patients on anti-TB treatment till the completion of treatment.

    • All TB patients who are registered/ notified (from both public/ private sectors) on the Nikshay Portal on or after 1st April 2018 are beneficiaries of the scheme.
    • The incentive is paid in cash and will be deposited to the Aadhaar enabled bank account of the patient. In the case of paediatric TB patients, money will be deposited in parents'/ guardians’ accounts.
    • The first instalment of Rs. 1000 total for the first 2 months is expected to be disbursed immediately after starting treatment. To ensure treatment adherence, after the first instalment, the conditionality of follow-up examination is applicable.
    • Each month of treatment extension, Rs. 500 will be transferred to the patient's DBT account, till the treatment is continued.
    • In some states, where the incentive is transferred in-kind, they should provide food baskets with a total value not less than the corresponding eligible benefit.

    The health volunteer/ Treatment supporter, Multi-purpose Health worker in-charge, or the Senior Treatment Supervisor (STS), are responsible to collect the bank details of the patient from the field level and enter it on the Ni-kshay.

  • TB Aarogya Sathi

    Content

    TB Aarogya Sathi empowers Citizens(including TB Patients under NTEP) and to serve as a Direct interface with the healthcare system. The App is aimed at augmenting the initiatives of the Central TB Division, Government of India in proactively increasing awareness among the citizens and ensuring availability of free and quality assured drugs and diagnostics to all citizens in the country.

    Citizens using the TB Aarogya Sathi App will have access to common FAQs regarding TB, Information on the symptoms of TB and Side effects of Anti TB drugs. Using the app, any user will be able to find the closest health facilities that can assist in diagnosis of TB.

    Patients registered with Nikshay will have access to the Adherence, Treatment Progress and DBT Details.
